Our Condominium Building

Truth be told, we tend to be rather impulsive, even when making major life decisions such as moving to a new city and finding a new place to live.   That was certainly the case this time around.   We had decided in advance on a condo (rather than a house) and already had one particular building in mind, right from the outset.

Above all, we wanted to prepare well for the future, in which the effects of climate change, high gas prices, and various kinds of economic distress might become steadily more prevalent.   The location of this building near the MAX light rail transit line, plus its closeness to the downtown Portland area, were major pluses.   Most of the city center is within easy walking distance for us.  Using a car to get around could easily become an option for us, rather than a necessity.

Plus we both thought it was a sturdy and handsome building, in a beautiful setting, with a quiet and peaceful ambience.  So, without too much further ado, we bought into it.
